Product Description
Vibra-TITE 122 Oil Tolerant Threadlocker is a medium viscosity, thixotropic, anaerobic thread locking adhesive for all types of metal, threaded fasteners. Cured performance shows controlled medium strength with good temperature and solvent resistance against water and nonpolar solvents. This product cures rapidly on plated, oily metal surfaces or inactive surfaces. Replaces lock washers and plastic inserts. Locks machine tool access bolts, studs, and hydraulic system bolts. Used on gear box bolts/drive shaft, bearing cover cap screws, counter sunk screws, conveyor roller bolts and construction equipment. Ensure parts are clean, dry and free from oil and grease before use. Product is normally hand applied from the bottle onto threaded parts. Fixture Speed without Primer is 5-10 minutes at 77 degree F. Shelf Life is 12 months at 68 degree F. 24 hours at 68 degree F Full Cure Time. 3/8 Phos-oil 100 - 130 lbs/inches Typical Breakaway Strength. 3/8 Phos-oil 40 - 60 lbs/inches Typical Prevailing Strength. Product should be refrigerated at temperatures between 0 degree C to 35 degree C. Optimal storage is 25 +/- 2 degree C. Shelf life is 18 months from date of manufacture when stored at 25 +/- 2 degree C. Seals nuts and bolts ranging from 1/4'' to 3/4'' (6-20mm) in diameter while allowing disassembly using standard tools. 0.015 inches Maximum gap fill. 195/70 lbs Torque strength, Break/Prevail. 1.08 Specific gravity.
