Product Description
Polyamide Imide (PAI) is a thermoplastic amorphous polymer that has exceptional mechanical, thermal, and chemical resistant properties. It is in the league of "Superpolymers" exhibiting temperature resistance from cryogenic to 500 F. This unique material combines properties from both polyamides and polyimides such as high strength, melt processability and it is inherently flame retardant. UL 94 ratings generally allow for FAA Aircraft Interiors due to very low smoke on ignition. Generally un affected by aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, acids, bases and halogenated solvents. Applications include engine and generator components, hydraulic bushings and seals, and mechanical parts for electronics and business machines.
