Thermo Scientific Orion Epoxy Body ROSS Sure Flow Junction Combination Refillable pH Electrode, with Waterproof Connector, 0 to 14 pH

The Thermo Scientific Orion ROSS combination refillable pH electrode comes with a waterproof connector and has a flushable junction that expels contents by pressing on the cap to prevent clogs and contamination. The electrode provides readings to 0.01 pH in less than 30 seconds, and it has a double junction reference to protect against silver wire contamination when testing dirty water and solutions with heavy metals or organics. This combination electrode contains both the measuring half-cell and the reference half-cell to minimize electrostatic interference and provide consistent readings. It has an epoxy body that is impact resistant and durable. The electrode measures pH from 0 to 14, withstands temperatures from 0 to 100 degrees C (32 to 212 degrees F), and is 12mm in diameter and 120mm long. The electrode has a 1m cable with either a waterproof Bayonet Neill-Concelman (BNC) connector for attaching to meters with a BNC connection or a waterproof Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN)-compliant connector for attaching to meters with a DIN connection. The electrode is refillable so the filling solution composition can be adjusted to suit the sample requirements, and it comes with a 60mL bottle of 3M KCl filling solution for refills. The electrode also includes a detachable bulb guard to protect the bulb. pH electrodes measure the acidity or alkalinity of a substance and are commonly used by researchers, manufacturers, and hobbyists in hydroponics, aquaculture, agriculture, and winemaking, among other applications.

An electrode, also called a sensor or probe, is an instrument used with a meter to test and measure parameters of a substance. Ion selective electrodes (ISEs) respond selectively to ions in the presence of other ions. Electrodes are commonly used by researchers, manufacturers, and hobbyists in a wide variety of industries, such as aquaculture, agriculture, chemistry, food and beverage, wine-making and water-testing, and for scientific applications. An electrode can be used with a datalogger to assist in temperature measurement.
