The Thermo Scientific Orion 9179BNMD combination oxidation reduction potential (ORP) triode electrode with a temperature sensor measures dissolved oxygen in aqueous solutions to determine their contaminant levels and their ability to act as oxidizing or reducing agents. It has a wick-type single junction reference for clean water applications. The electrode comes with a built-in temperature sensor for automatic temperature compensation (ATC) with +/-0.2-degree C accuracy; an 8-pin mini Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN)-compliant connector is provided for attaching to meters with temperature-reading capabilities. This combination electrode contains both the measuring half-cell and the reference half-cell to minimize electrostatic interference and provide consistent readings. The electrode's epoxy body is impact resistant, durable, and sealed and filled with an electrolyte solution gel for minimal maintenance.
The electrode withstands temperatures from 0 to 80 degrees C (32 to 176 degrees F). It is 12mm in diameter and 120mm long, and has a 1m cable with a waterproof Bayonet Neill-Concelman (BNC) connector for attaching to meters with a BNC connection.
