(Details)
The Thermo Scientific Finnpipette F1 adjustable single-channel pipettor has a manual volume control, an adjustable finger rest, and an antimicrobial surface. This adjustable single-channel micropipette has a manual volume control and is used for transporting a measured volume of liquid. A digit counter with black digits on a white background indicates the selected volume and is located on the side of the pipette for visibility. This pipette has an adjustable finger rest for optimal pipetting position and comfort for both right-and left-handed users. The Antimicrobial surface helps inhibit the growth of bacteria, microbes, and fungus. It has an autoclavable nose cone to ensure sterility and avoid cross-contamination. Single-channel pipettes are typically used in biotechnology research, microbiology, and chemistry applications to aspirate, transport, and dispense a small, measured volume of liquid.
The Finnpipette F1 has a locking mechanism to help prevent accidental volume changes. The volume selection mechanism is thermally isolated from the pipette handle for volume accuracy. The colored band on the plunger is coded by volume for ease of selection and identification. A soft-touch tip ejector reduces hand strain. The blow-out piston in pipettes with volumes up to 50μL ensures accuracy and precision at low-volume settings. It comes with a service tool, a sample Finntip pipette tip, a tube of grease, a shelf hanger, labels, a calibration certificate, and instructions.
Pipettes are laboratory tools for collecting, transporting, and dispensing a small amount of liquid. Sometimes called pipets, pipettors, or chemical droppers, a pipette is composed of a tube that collects the measured substance and a mechanism to aspirate and dispense the substance. Some pipettes can measure a fixed volume of liquid, others are graduated to show the volume, while others can be set to measure a volume within a range. Pipettes can aspirate and dispense liquid manually, electronically, or with a pipette filler that can be motorized. Pipettes are available in a variety of sizes and designs, offer ergonomic features for often-repeated functions, can be autoclavable for reuse, or disposable. The type of pipette used is determined by laboratory applications. Pipettes are typically used in medicine, biology, chemistry, and biotechnology for liquid handling, sampling, testing, and cell culture applications.
