Product Description

The Merit Brass cap is a schedule 40 stainless steel 316/316L butt-weld pipe fitting used for closing the end of a pipe. The cap has a female butt-weld, beveled opening for welding to a male pipe or fitting with a smooth bore. Made of stainless steel 316/316L, the low-carbon content of this pipe fitting minimizes harmful carbide precipitation during welding, ensuring corrosion resistance. It meets both 316 steel strength standards and 316L extra-low carbon standards for quality assurance.
