Product Description
The 416 stainless steel dowel pin is commonly used as a joining and locating device, pivot, hinge, shaft, jig, and fixture in machine tool fabrication. Both ends are chamfered for easy insertion.
Stainless Steel 416 is stronger than both type 316 and 18-8 stainless steel, and is magnetic. Stainless steels are used for their corrosion resistance, high-temperature strength, scaling resistance, and low-temperature toughness. These properties account for their wide use in practically every industry. Pin’s outer diameter tolerance is +0.010" to -0.010”.
