Product Description

The Merit Brass cap is a schedule 40 stainless steel 304/304L butt-weld pipe fitting for closing the end of a pipe. The cap’s female butt-weld, beveled opening fits over the outside of a male pipe or fitting it’s closing for a smooth bore. Made of stainless steel 304/304L, the lower carbon content of this pipe fitting minimizes harmful carbide precipitation during welding, ensuring corrosion resistance. It meets both 304 steel strength standards and 304L extra-low carbon standards for quality assurance.
