Product Description
Stainless steel 303 bartite sealing nut with 0.348” OD external lock washer has a patented thermosetting plastisol seal for superior leak and pressure protection. It withstands 12,000 psi hydrostatic pressure and provides a wide working temperature range, from -60 degrees F to +250 degrees F. It also includes an external lock washer for security.
Seal resists water, gasoline, petroleum oils, salt sprays, alkalis, acids, organic and aromatic solvents, detergents, ozone, hydrocarbons, and oxygenated and chlorinated solvents. Stainless steel 303 nut material provides corrosion resistance. Stainless steels are used for their corrosion resistance, high-temperature strength, scaling resistance, and low-temperature toughness. These properties account for their wide use in practically every industry. The nut has a hex-shaped head for easy adjustment with a wrench.
Nuts are used with bolts, threaded rods, and studs to fasten items together. The size of the nut should match the bolt. The size name reflects the external diameter of the bolt, followed by the threads per inch in standard nuts and millimeters per thread for metric nuts.
