The Spyraflo PB0-SR1810ZZS is an efficient and cost effective solution to the challenge of mounting miniature ball bearings in a wide variety of applications. The unique Spyraflo assembly fills the previous void in the market place where, up until now, mounted ball bearings have only been available in shaft diameters greater than 1/2 inch. The assembly consists of a precision Japanese stainless steel ABEC 3 ball bearing mounted in a precision-machined, sintered aluminum pillow-block housing. The aluminum body and stainless steel bearing combination, together with the double shields, give the bearing a high level of corrosion resistance. In the past, when considering the use of miniature bearings for an assembly, one of the critical design elements was how, precisely, the bearings could be mounted. Typically, the mount had to be precision machined, particularly when using high-performance miniature bearings. previously this would have entailed an engineer designing, and then having the critical machining and bearing assembly carried out. The Spyraflo bearing eliminates this task-effectively and economically-just screw in place. The PB0-SR1810ZZS is the ideal bearing choice for medical, pharmaceutical, scientific and other precision-oriented fields. They are also in wide use in the expert model making and hobbyist world.
