Product Description
The SMC KQ2SS hexagon socket head adapter fitting with sealant is made of polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) and has a tube connector and NPT male connector with brass threads. This hex socket head adapter extends a run of piping by joining two pipes of different types, and it has a hexagonal head for an increased bearing surface when adjusting the fitting with a wrench. It is a push-to-connect fitting that connects to pipes or tubing on one end and has a National Pipe Taper (NPT) male connector with brass threads on the other. The fitting is made of polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), which is a polymer resistant to solvents, shrinkage, heat, and impact, and it can be treated to increase resistance to UV and flammability. The working pressure for this fitting is up to 145 pounds per square inch (psi), and its operating temperature ranges from -5 to 60 degrees C.
