The Rubbermaid R80DC stainless steel dual-read thermometer is for the refrigerator or freezer and stands or hangs from the rack for optimal visibility. Its stainless steel construction resists scaling and corrosion. Its clear lens is shatter resistant, and its dual-read thermometer shows temperatures in both Fahrenheit and Celsius. It has a temperature range of -20 to +80 degrees F/-30 to +30 degrees C in increments of 2 degrees F/1 degree C. It is certified to National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) standards for food safety.

Food service thermometers are used to monitor the temperatures of food or of food preparation and storage environments, such as ovens, freezers, or refrigerators, in commercial or home kitchens. The thermometers can be mechanical, with dials, or electronic, with digital displays, to show temperature readings in Fahrenheit, Celsius, or both. Some dials have markings that indicate optimal cooking temperature zones for meats, candy, or dough. Thermometers are commonly made of stainless steel (mechanical) or plastic with stainless steel probes (digital).

Rubbermaid manufactures cleaning, organizing, and material handling products for commercial, medical, and industrial applications. The company, founded in 1933, is headquartered in Huntersville, NC.
