The Rubbermaid Commercial Untouchable trash can top is a half-round, HDPE garbage can top with a swing door for use with the Rubbermaid Commercial Untouchable 3520 garbage can (sold separately). HDPE (high-density polyethylene) is stronger than LDPE (low-density polyethylene) and resists moisture and certain chemicals. This trash can top measures 9.5 x 12.3 x 21.3 inches (H x W x D). (H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.) This product meets the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) 2010 Standards for Accessible Design.
Trash cans are used for the disposal and temporary storage of garbage. They are typically made of plastic or metal and sometimes have a top or lid to contain odors and waste. Certain garbage cans meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for the disposal of medical waste or National Sanitation Foundation/American National Standards Institute (NSF/ANSI) requirements for food handling and processing. Other waste containers include a lock to prevent unauthorized access, safeguard confidential materials, and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements. Waste bins can also be color-coded to facilitate the separation of recyclable waste, such as bottles, cans, paper, and general refuse. Ash/trash can receptacles typically include an ashtray on top for cigarette disposal. Trash cans are used in virtually all commercial and industrial environments.
Rubbermaid manufactures cleaning, organizing, and material handling products for commercial, medical, and industrial applications. The company, founded in 1933, is headquartered in Huntersville, NC.
