The Rubbermaid FGQ81000 Hygen microfiber single-sided super scrubber mop is a nylon/polyester-blend split microfiber mop head for use with Rubbermaid FGQ56000 Hygen 18" Quick-Connect frame (sold separately) that withstands more than 300 launderings and includes vertical polypropylene scrubber stripes for removing stubborn spots and cleaning into tile grout lines. This mop head can help earn Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) credits. It attaches to the mop frame with a hook-and-loop fastener backing for quick connection and removal. This mop is suitable for commercial and industrial applications. The mop head measures 1/2 x 20 x 5 1/2 inches/1.3 x 50.8 x 14 cm (H x W x D). (H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.)
Microfiber wet mops consist of a mop head, a mop frame, and a handle. Mop heads typically use a hook-and-loop fastener to attach to a mop frame. Mop frames provide support for the shape of the mop head, spreading it to cover a wide area. The handle is a separate item that connects to the frame. Often either the frame or the handle includes a swivel joint for flexible maneuverability. Microfiber mop heads are made from extremely thin synthetic fibers that are nonabrasive and lint-free. The density of the material makes them more absorbent than conventional cotton looped-end mops. By using and laundering multiple microfiber mop heads instead of wringing out cotton mops, a facility can save water, cleaning agents, labor, and time.
