Thin wall tubing is used to transfer air, liquids or solids in the electrical, bio-medical, surgical, analytical science, chemical, and agricultural industries. It can be used in advanced medical devices, high temperature industrial equipment, capacitor covers, and for… Learn More
This tubing is characterized by a thin wall thickness (commonly 1/32” to 1/8”) and a round shape. It is stiffer than flex and hollow bar tubing.
Plastic thin wall tubing is commonly made with polyimide, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), or polyetheretherketone (PEEK) materials. These materials have various lightweight properties, and are also selected for their chemical, solvent, oil, temperature, water, and impact-resistant abilities. Polyimide and PTFE, for example, are commonly used for electrical applications. Some material types and their formulations can be medical or food-grade, and can conform to various government standards for use. Plastic tubing must be tested and monitored by the purchaser to ensure it is safe and appropriate for its intended application.
