The Oreck Commercial U2000RB upright vacuum has a 12" cleaning path, a cogged V-belt, a Helping Hand handle, and a 40' cord, and is better suited for cleaning carpets than typical canister vacuum cleaners and takes up less space for storage. An automatic floor adjustment enables the vacuum to move between carpets and hard surfaces without changes to manual settings. The Helping Hand handle has received an Ease-of-Use Commendation from the Arthritis Foundation. The on/off switch is located in the handgrip for convenience. The handle drops down flat for cleaning under furniture and for storing. Two brush rolls turn at 6,500 revolutions per minute (RPM) to loosen debris from carpets and move it toward the vacuum inlet for cleaning. A cogged V-belt resists slippage. A circuit breaker helps protect the motor and roller from clogs and jams. A top-fill system helps prevent clogging at the intake. Wraparound bumpers help prevent damage to walls and doorways. A 40-foot power cord enables the vacuum to cover a larger area without changing outlets than vacuums with shorter cords. A cord guard helps prevent cord damage. The vacuum weighs eight pounds.
