Reagents are compounds or mixtures that are used to detect, measure, examine or produce a substance. A colorimeter measures the color intensity, and the primary color components of light reflected from a sample. The absorption of light transmitted through a medium is proportional to the concentration of the medium. PH measures the acidity or alkalinity of a substance. It is used for pool, food, and water quality testing and in the aquaculture, glass, food, pulp, paper, and textile-manufacturing industries.
