The neodymium rare earth magnet discs are a set of six magnetic discs that produce 4.3 lbs of pull perpendicular to a flat magnetic surface, measuring 0.472” in diameter with 0.118” thickness, for use in dry environments and temperatures below 176 degrees F. These magnets are made from neodymium, which is also classified as a rare earth magnet, and has a high resistance to demagnetizing. Layers of paint, dirt, and other surface finishes can decrease the pounds of pull and the effectiveness of the magnet. It works best with materials that have a high iron content.
