This modified acrylic syringe housing with a glass-fiber prefilter is used for prefiltration and clarification of highly viscous solutions and removal of large particulates from suspensions. The prefilter unit contains no adhesives or binders to affect results and may be used with standard syringes luer lock syringes and hypodermic needles. The filter is supplied in a non-sterile modified acrylic housing which should not be autoclaved. WARNING! All Nalgene Filterware is for research use only not for in vitro diagnosis or parenteral.
