The Murray DBSS series stainless steel worm gear clamp has a stainless steel band, housing, and screw, and a dual bead liner for use with air and coolant systems in marine environments. A worm gear mechanism adjusts the clamp’s diameter to precisely apply sealing pressure. The clamp’s inner liner covers the band serrations to help prevent hose damage and has dual beads that help provide a strong seal. The band, housing and screw are made of stainless steel that conforms to the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) 300 series standard and provides resistance to corrosion in marine environments. The slotted, 5/16” hex-head screw allows installation using a blade screwdriver, nut driver, or socket wrench. The clamp is recommended for an installation torque of 34 to 45 inch-pounds, with a maximum torque of 60 inch-pounds.
Hose clamps attach hoses to fittings to prevent flow leakage. They come in a variety of designs and distribute uniform pressure over the circumference of hoses to bind them to fittings. Hose clamps are suitable for a large number of industries, and commonly used in industrial, electronic, and automotive applications.
Murray Corporation manufactures fasteners and clamps for agriculture, automotive, marine, beverage, and plumbing applications. The company, founded in 1912 and headquartered in Hunt Valley, MD, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard 9001.
