The bidirectionally supported Millex-GS device is a sterilizing filter for aqueous solutions dispensed with a syringe. It will remove microorganisms, particles, precipitates, and undissolved powders larger than 0.22 microns (�m). The sterile Millex-GS filter unit is non-pyrogenic and non-toxic. This single-use product consists of a 0.22�m membrane filter sealed in a plastic housing. Typical applications include the sterile filtration of critical care solutions (neonatal, burn, TPN without lipids, additives, extemporaneous solutions), tissue culture media, additives, buffers, and water. The Millex-GS filter unit is compatible with most aqueous solutions. Do not resterilize or reuse this filter unit, as Millipore cannot assure the sterility, integrity, and performance beyond a single use. Do not use the Millex-GS unit at temperatures above 45 Degrees celsius (113 degrees fahrenheit). Do not use the same Millex-GS unit to filter solutions in both directions. Do not use the Millex-GS unit to filter emulsions or suspensions. Do not use the Millex-GS unit to filter 5mg or less of active drug materials unless binding studies have been performed. To ensure sterility, Do not use this product if the package is damaged. Do not use this product as an in-line filter for intravenous administration; it was not designed for long-term continuous use. Do not use with syringes smaller than 10mL because pressures in excess of the maximum pressure rating may be reache, potentially causing damage to the filter unit and/or personal injury.
