MicrOptix Technologies introduces the i-LAB Hand Held Analyzing Spectrometer. The i-LAB system features our patented miniaturized spectral measurement system. This portable instrument, weighing only 7.4 ounces, allows users to measure and analyze spectral measurements in their own work environments. The i-LAB can conduct absorbance and transmission measurements with its liquid sample adaptors as well as solid surface reflectance color measurements. A full visible spectrum of a liquid sample is produced and stored within the device for later uploading into a laptop or a laboratory computer system. Uploaded spectra (up to 500) can be further processed with the i-LAB Spectrum Software - a powerful PC software enabling users to build custom measurement methods which can be downloaded to the i-LAB. Visible spectral measurement system, operating in transmission mode (absorption spectra). Operates in conjunction with sample adaptors that provide pathlengths from 10 to 50 mm. Spectral measurement range from 400 nm to 700 nm. Spectral bandpass (resolution/nm) from 4 nm to 7 nm (1 percent center wavelength. Spectrally balanced LEDs light source. Backlit LCD, 2" x 2" display. Linearized photo diode array detector. Spectrum acquisition: Fixed 1 nm (interpolated) spectral data resolution, scan speed/time fixed at manufacture from 2.1 msec. Standard mini-USB communications port and cable include. Battery powered, 3 AA cells required.
