Product Description

This Merit Brass 6032-1000 nipple is a 12" long 316/316L stainless steel pipe fitting with 2" male threads. The nipple fitting is a short length of pipe with threaded ends for connecting two threaded pipes. It has male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads for connecting to female threaded pipes, creating a tighter seal than straight threads. Type 316L stainless steel is the low-carbon version of type 316 stainless steel. This fitting is suitable for handling pressures up to 150 psi. This nipple fitting meets American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) A733, ASTM A312, and American National Standards Institute (ANSI) B1.20.1 specifications for quality assurance.

Pipe fittings are components used for connecting, terminating, controlling flow, and changing the direction of piping in many different industries. When purchasing pipe fittings, consider the application, as this will affect material type, shape, size and required durability. Fittings are available threaded or unthreaded, in many shapes, styles, sizes, and schedules (pipe wall thickness).

Merit Brass manufactures pipe nipples and distributes pipe, valves, and fittings. The company, founded in 1937 and headquartered in Cleveland, OH, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard 9001.
