Product Description

The Kimberly-Clark 08152 Kleenguard V40 safety glasses have amber color lenses, and the frame and lenses are made of polycarbonate for light weight and impact resistance. The lenses are a wraparound style to provide side protection for the eyes, and they filter out ultraviolet (UV) A and UVB radiation. The adjustable, soft gel nose piece and cushioned brow provide enhanced comfort. These safety glasses meet American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standard Z87.1 and European Standard EN 166:2001 for eye protection.

Protective eyewear, such as safety glasses or goggles, is worn to shield eyes from hazards, including flying particles, heat, chemicals, and harmful exposure to light. Face shields and helmets may be also be used with protective eyewear, especially when welding or working with molten materials, to provide additional protection. Eyewear is sometimes designed to wrap around the side of the head to extend protection to the periphery; the extent of this protection is measured as "base lens curve." Base lens curve has a typical range of 6 to 12, with a 6 being on the flat end of the scale and a 12 providing the maximum amount of wrap around the head. Protective eyewear is commonly used in the manufacturing and construction industries, among others.

Kimberly-Clark manufactures products for personal and health care, industrial, and laboratory applications under the brands Kleenex, Scott, WypAll, Kimtech, and Kleenguard, among others. The company, founded in 1870, is headquartered in Dallas, TX.
