This Kimble Kimax Boston round serum bottle has a borosilicate glass body and an aluminum seal neck finish, and it is autoclavable. This serum bottle is used to hold liquid contents that require protection from contaminants. The bottle's borosilicate glass body provides chemical, thermal expansion, shock, and heat resistance. Its Boston round shape is used for applications that require a rounded body, short neck, and narrow mouth to store liquid samples, solvents, and chemicals, and dry materials. This bottle's neck is designed to accommodate a crimped aluminum seal (sold separately). The bottle is autoclavable for applications requiring sterility. The borosilicate glass conforms to United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) Type I requirements and American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) E 438 Type I, Class B requirements for glass containers. This lab bottle is suitable for storing distilled water, reagents, vaccines, blood plasma, sterile culture media, chromatography samples, and serums.
