Number of Teeth

The number of the teeth refers to the number of teeth around a gear, and it has an effect on increasing speed and force. For example, when a gear with 100 teeth meshes with a smaller gear with 50 teeth, the second gear must rotate faster to match the first gear’s pace. This effort increases the transmission speed, but reduces its force. Conversely, if a first gear with 50 teeth meshes with a larger gear with 100 teeth, the second gear turns slower, but its force is increased.
