Twist drill bits are a round, twisted shaft, end-cutting tool with two or more cutting edges and two or more flutes. These are the most common type of drill bit used to make a hole in some material. The helical twist of the flutes brings chips up and away from the cutting edges and allows for coolant to reach the cutting edges.
