The Hanna Instruments HI 2211 is a benchtop pH, oxygen reduction potential (ORP)/mV, and temperature meter with manual or Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC), automatic one- or two-point pH calibration, single-line LCD screen, glass body combination (full-cell) pH electrode with Bayonet Neill-Concelman (BNC) connector and 1m (3.3') cable, and stores pH, mV, and temperature calibrations and all other settings to nonvolatile memory. A pH meter is commonly used to measure the pH of substance such as water, food, beer, or wine in lab, industrial, and food applications. The single-line LCD screen displays the current measurement and the current temperature. The meter performs ATC if using the HI 7662 temperature probe (included).
The meter has automatic calibration at one or two points with five memorized buffer values (pH 4.01, 6.86, 7.01, 9.18, and 10.01). The nonvolatile memory retains pH, mV, and temperature calibrations and all other settings even when the meter is unplugged. The meter comes with the HI 1131B refillable, combination glass-body, ceramic single-junction pH electrode with a spheric tip, Bayonet Neill-Concelman (BNC) connector, and 1m (3.3') coaxial cable. The operating temperature is 0 to 50 degrees C (32 to 122 degrees F) with a relative humidity of 95 percent. The meter dimensions are 235 x 222 x 109mm/9.2 x 8.7 x 4.3 inches (H x W x D). (H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.) The meter weighs 1.3kg/2.9lb. The meter power supply is 115V and it comes with a 12VDC adapter. The meter also comes with an electrode holder, buffer solution sachets, electrolyte solution, cleaning solution sachet, and instructions.

A pH meter, also called a sensor or tester, is a device used to measure the acidity or alkalinity of a substance. A pH meter has either a portable or a benchtop body. Many portable meters are handheld devices. Some testers have an internal sensor, and may have a tip and body that fit inside of a container for measurement. A meter is commonly used in many different environments, from laboratories to field research and manufacturing facilities. Researchers, manufacturers, and hobbyists use a pH meter in aquaculture, agriculture, wine-making, and water-testing, and for scientific applications. Some pH meters may measure additional parameters such as dissolved oxygen (DO), conductivity (also called electro-conductivity or EC), temperature, total dissolved solids (TDS), salinity, resistivity, or oxygen reduction potential.
Hanna Instruments manufactures analytical instrumentation and supplies, including pH meters, electrodes, chemical reagents, and buffer solutions. The company, founded in 1978 and headquartered in Woonsocket, RI, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard 9001.
