Product Description
The GY Metric B profile cogged V-belt is 14 mm high and 17 mm wide, is built by Goodyear Engineered Products with Vytacord tension members, and is suitable for heavy-duty, temperature-sensitive applications. This cogged metric belt is static conductive, making it appropriate in the presence of explosive gases, liquids, powders, and other substances where the possibility of static sparks must be kept to a minimum.
The GY Metric V-belt is built with Vytacord tension members, a synthetic reinforcement that increases overall tensile strength and lends dimensional stability so that drive performance is more consistent and predictable over the life of the belt. Cogs on the inner surface of the belt increase air flow, which enhances cooling. GY Metric belts operate within a wide temperature range from -65 to 180 degrees Fahrenheit (-52 to 82 degrees Celsius). The belt is backed in oil- and abrasion-resistant fabric, providing longitudinal flexibility and lateral strength to the joined belt.
GY Metric V-belts are engineered to universal profiles in metric units of measurement. They are constructed to withstand oily, dirt-filled manufacturing environments and are frequently used in abusive environments such as farming and manufacturing.
