Product Description
The dual positive drive trapezoidal tooth profile synchronous belt has a 0.375” pitch, a light L profile, is built by Goodyear Engineered Products, and is suitable for drive applications where reverse rotation drive shaft synchronization in a compact space is required, such as in small tools and home appliances. The belt has trapezoidal teeth on both sides and is used in drives that require synchronous transmission from one or both sides of the belt, or rotational direction changes. It has fiberglass tension cords that add synthetic reinforcement, increasing tensile strength and resistance to shrinkage and elongation. The molded-rubber compounded construction adds flexibility, extending the life of the belt, and it is oil, heat, ozone, and abrasion resistant. The dual positive drive belt is designed to drop into existing trapezoidal-profiled sprockets and is compatible across multiple drive configurations.
Synchronous belts (also known as timing belts) have teeth on the underside of the belt that join with the grooves in a rotating pulley to transmit power at a constant speed without slippage. They are made of compounded rubber and are reinforced lengthwise with fiberglass cords for added strength. The belts require minimal re-tensioning and maintenance, no lubrication, and provide quiet operation. Synchronous belts are used in industrial applications such as farm, textile, mining, and printing machinery, and consumer applications such as office equipment, home appliances, and automobiles.
