The Frey Scientific 1324336 Advanced Ceramic Stirring Hot Plate has a one-piece ceramic top and a microprocessor control for heating glassware and contents to between 5 to 500 degrees C, stirring between 60 to 1600rpm, includes a seven-inch square hot plate with a chemical-resistant, easy-to-clean, reflective white surface, and has an illuminated LED digital display, a built-in support rod holder with locking knob, and a heat-resistant polymer body. Hot plates are used to heat glassware and contents in laboratories.

This hot plate is housed in a heat-resistant polymer body that stays cool to the touch and channels fluids away from internal components. A microprocessor precisely controls speeds, and a continuous duty motor provides consistent stirring at all speeds. An LED display with built-in memory recalls the last set temperature, and a temperature knob adjusts the setpoint. A ramping feature slowly increases speed for safety and enhanced coupling, avoids splashes, improves spin bar control, and provides low-end speed control. A caution indicator light illuminates when heat is turned on and remains on until the top plate cools down. Stir protection automatically shuts down the heater if the stirrer motor stops or fails. The built-in support rod holder with locking knob at rear holds a standard threaded support rod to suspend instrumentation such as clamps and probes. The hot plate comes with a 1.5" (3.8cm) polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) coated stir bar and a 92" (234cm) detachable, 3-wire cord and plug.
