This BD Biosciences cylindrical roller bottle has a polystyrene body, a tissue culture-treated interior, and a polyethylene cap. This roller bottle is commonly used on rollers for cell culture. It has a polystyrene body for durability and dimensional stability. Its cylindrical shape is used for a wide variety of applications that require fluid containment. The knurled rings at the top and base of the bottle provide traction on rollers. This bottle is available with a pleated interior to increase the area for cell growth, and the interior surface is tissue-culture treated to promote cell attachment and growth. The polyethylene cap secures contents and helps prevent spills and evaporation. The polyethylene cap is available with a vent for gas exchange or as a solid cap. The bottle is sterilized by gamma irradiation for applications that require sterility, and it is suitable for use in cell culture applications.
