This Dynaroll flangette collar ball bearing with two bolt holes, double seals, and a clamp collar is designed for mounting onto bearing surfaces perpendicular to the shaft axis. This ready-to-mount flange unit has a two-piece housing made of pressed steel for light-duty applications that support low to moderate speeds or that do not require rigid mounting. The ball bearing insert in the housing supports radial and thrust loads and is made of 52100 chrome steel for durability and resistance to deformity. It has a split extended inner ring on one side for increased shaft support, and rubber seals on both sides of the bearing that retain lubricant applied at manufacture and help protect against contaminants. The bearing locks onto the shaft with a two-piece clamp collar that is secured to the shaft using a hex-type set screw, improving shaft support and simplifying installation by eliminating the need to press-fit the bearing onto the shaft. The running accuracy and performance levels for the bearing (except the bore) meet Annular Bearing Engineers' Committee (ABEC) 1 standards for a moderate level of precision. ABEC-rated ball bearings are manufactured to tight dimensional tolerances, making them useful in applications that require high accuracy, high rotational speeds, and increased operating efficiency. Flanged bearing units are suitable for use in industrial and commercial applications including conveyors, fans and blowers, construction machinery, and processing equipment, among many others.
Mounted bearings combine a bearing mounted inside a housing unit. The bearing housing replaces the need for a casting or weldment to position the bearing securely for reliable operation, and its design determines the type of insert bearing. Insert bearings use rolling elements (ball, cylindrical, spherical, barrel, needle, spindled, or tapered) to maintain the separation between moving parts to reduce rotational friction, and to support radial and axial loads. Available in a variety of materials and mounting configurations, mounted bearings can be one- or two-piece, they can have an extended inner ring and locking device, and they can have seals and end caps that retain lubrication and protect the working parts of the bearing from environmental debris. Mounted bearings support shafts in a variety of mounting configurations (flange block, hanger, pillow block, and take-up block), and are used in a range of applications from light duty shaft guidance on conveyors to road building equipment and crushers.
Dynaroll Corporation manufactures miniature bearings and ball bearings that meet International Organization for Standardization (ISO), Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Critical standards for quality assurance. Founded in 1988, Dynaroll is based in Sylmar, California.
