The slant lap machine is angled to provide significantly improved visibility to your workpiece as you work--no more cut and look, cut and look, cut and look. Watch your progress continuously, adjusting the angle and pressure against the workpiece instantly. Constructed of high-impact ABS plastic, this machine is sturdy as well as lightweight. It is durable, will not rust or corrode, and will serve you for years to come. Powered by a variable-speed ball-bearing DC motor with a built-in 115-volt AC converter, this machine is quiet enough to be used in the smallest shop, in the home studio, even in a trailer or RV. A coolant reservoir holds approximately one quart of water (enough to keep you working for hours) and features a splash guard to keep the water off your work clothes and on your work piece where it can do the most good. The water supply is auto-feed and adjustable to give you the exact flow each task needs. An accessory kit is included with the machine that allows you to work right out of the box. Grind, shape and polish a wide variety of natural and synthetic gemstone materials as well as glass and enamels. The kit contains: one 180-mesh metal bond diamond disc, one 325-mesh diamond smoothing disc, one 600-mesh diamond smoothing disc, one 1200-mesh diamond smoothing disc, one Tech-10 polishing pad with 14,000-mesh diamond compound, four disc backing plates, complete instructions.
