This Corning Pyrexplus round media bottle has a borosilicate glass body, a sealed, linerless polypropylene screw cap with a pour ring, and an exterior safety coating. This media bottle is used to hold samples and for storage, mixing, and sampling applications. The borosilicate glass body provides chemical, thermal expansion, shock, and heat resistance. Its round shape is used for a wide variety of common applications that require fluid containment. The green, linerless polypropylene cap secures contents and helps prevent spills and evaporation. This cap has a plug seal that presses against the rim of the bottle to provide a tight seal and a barrier against moisture and gas. A removable polypropylene pour ring neck insert helps reduce drips when dispensing contents.

This lab bottle has an exterior safety coating that resists shattering and helps to retain contents for disposal in case of breakage. The exterior safety coating is a solution of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) resin that covers the glass bottle and cools to form a plastic coating. This lab bottle has a marking area to label for security and accountability, and it is graduated for measured dispensing and storing.
