Product Description
This Corning 96-well clear COC polystyrene microplate has a crystal cup well design that facilitates centering and collecting protein crystals. Designed for sitting drop vapor diffusion high throughput protein crystallization. It is manufactured from an advanced Cyclic Olefin Copolymer (COC) with high resistance to commonly used solvents, including acetone, acetic acid, butanone, ethanol, isopropanol, methanol, DMSO, nitric acid (65%), sulfuric acid (40%), hydrochloric acid (36%), and ammonia solution (33%) and improved transparency. Low water absorption of the polymer prevents loss of protein drop volume. Allows protein crystals to be easily viewed under polarized light with minimal background interference. Each well contains three 1µL conical flat bottom Crystal Cup protein wells and one 100µL reagent reservoir. Low volume 100µL reagent reservoir saves on reagent costs. Protein well locations conform to ANSI/SBS 384 well plate standards for robotic handling. Reservoir numbers are embossed on each individual well for easy identification. This is the suggested replacement for Corning Item Numbers 3555 and 3557. Non-Sterile. Lid Not Included. Material: Cyclic Olefin Copolymer (COC). Plate Format: 96 Well.
