Product Description
The Brown & Sharpe 599-750-1 includes two case-hardened steel blocks and two clamps, and is suitable for fine tool room work. The blocks feature squareness for increased usability, accuracy, and measurement consistency. Surfaces are square with each other within .0003”. V-grooves are square and parallel with all surfaces within .0003”, and “V” is 90 degrees + .0000” - .0002”. Corresponding dimensions for each pair are alike within .0003”. Dimensions are 1-1/4” (32 mm) square by 1-5/8” (42-mm) long. Work capacity is approximately 1” to 2-1/2” diameter.
V-blocks are small part work holders. They are held in place with the assistance of a clamp. The grove allows a channel for the clamp to hold down the part being measured or modified.
