The Ample Scientific MH-120 centrifuge is a fixed-speed centrifuge with a speed of 12,000 rpm. This centrifuge comes with a hematocrit rotor with standard percentage reader for use with 24 capillary tubes. The unit detects rotor imbalance for reduced wear and decreased noise and vibration. This centrifuge has a manual brake for increased control during the spin down cycle. For increased safety, the centrifuge stops when the lid is opened. This centrifuge is designed to process blood samples.
This centrifuge has a mechanical timer from 0 to 15 minutes for data accuracy. The unit is non-refrigerated and does not have temperature control features.

A centrifuge is used to spin fluids of different densities to separate various parts, commonly blood and DNA samples. Centrifuges are composed of the main body or housing and a spinning rotor. Tubes of cellular material suspended in liquid are inserted into the rotor and spun at various speeds to separate components. Centrifuges are used in medical, industrial, and research laboratories, as well as academic and clinical settings.
Ample Scientific manufactures microscopes, centrifuges, and other lab equipment. The company, founded in 1985, is headquartered in Norcross, GA.
