The Ample Scientific Champion S-50D centrifuge is a variable-speed centrifuge that runs from 300 to 5,000 rpm. This centrifuge comes with a swing-bucket 8-place duralumin rotor with stainless steel tubes (additional rotors sold separately). The unit maintains its set speed if the current fluctuates, increasing spin quality. The inner chamber maintains a constant temperature, which can increase data quality. A brushless motor reduces wear. This general-purpose centrifuge is designed for small to medium laboratories that perform routine tasks such as separating blood or urine samples.
This centrifuge has a digital timer from 0 to 120 minutes for data accuracy. The unit is non-refrigerated and does not have temperature control features.

H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.
A centrifuge is used to spin fluids of different densities to separate various parts, commonly blood and DNA samples. Centrifuges are composed of the main body or housing and a spinning rotor. Tubes of cellular material suspended in liquid are inserted into the rotor and spun at various speeds to separate components. Centrifuges are used in medical, industrial, and research laboratories, as well as academic and clinical settings.
Ample Scientific manufactures microscopes, centrifuges, and other lab equipment. The company, founded in 1985, is headquartered in Norcross, GA.
