The 3M™ Roloc™ Disc 977F TR provides a quick attachment and features 3M’s highest-performing ceramic abrasive grain on a durable polyester backing for outstanding durability and cutting efficiency, making fast work of weld grinding and other tough applications. The 977F disc provides the highest level of performance for dimensioning parts, deburring, grinding and blending welds, and grinding and finishing castings and forgings, offering the potential for a significant boost in work productivity. The heavy, YF-weight polyester backing supports high-pressure applications, a consistent cut-rate, and both wet and dry applications. The disc is resin-bonded to withstand high heat and pressure. A grinding aid on the 977F disc reduces grinding temperatures to protect heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel and nickel alloys.
3M ceramic abrasive grain is a 3M proprietary ceramic mineral chemically engineered with a unique “stay sharp” crystalline structure, which continually reveals fresh cutting edges on the surface of the workpiece ensuring an exceptionally fast and sustained cut. Formed through a patented process to enhance toughness and hardness of the grain, 3M ceramic abrasives offer a longer service life than non-ceramic abrasives, and can stand up to high pressure production environments even on the toughest materials. This innovative abrasive grain is ideal for use with stainless steel and whitewood sanding. These discs enable operators to do more work in less time, for significant gains in both ergonomics and productivity.
3M™ Roloc™ TR quick change discs have a plastic threaded button or screw designed to easily and quickly attach to a Roloc TR disc pad (sold separately) so that operators can conveniently change discs with a simple twist-off, twist-on motion. The Roloc TR system provides a secure attachment, and the variety of available 3M Roloc discs allows swapping from one application to the next in seconds. Each TR attachment button is also color-coded, making it easy to identify the grade required for different applications.
