The 3M™ Roloc™ Disc 963G TR provides a quick attachment and features 3M’s high-performing ceramic abrasive grain on a durable polyester blend backing for outstanding durability and cutting efficiency on carbon steel and tool steels. The 963G disc offers significant productivity gains for applications such as rapid stock removal, grinding, blending, and deburring on steel. The heavy, YN-weight polyester blend backing on the coarse grades supports high-pressure applications and a consistent cut-rate, and is resin-bonded to withstand high heat and pressure. Grades 100 and finer have a durable, XF-weight cloth backing. The 963G disc can be used wet or dry.
3M proprietary ceramic abrasive grain is a ceramic mineral chemically engineered with a unique “stay sharp” crystalline structure, which continually reveals fresh cutting edges on the surface of the work piece ensuring a sustained cut. The grain is formed using a patented process to enhance toughness and hardness of the grain, for long product life and significant productivity benefits. Abrasives made with 3M ceramic abrasive grain have outstanding durability and improved cutting efficiencies. These products have a long service life, cut exceptionally fast and can stand up to high pressure production environments even on the toughest materials.
3M Roloc TR quick change discs have a plastic threaded button or screw designed to easily and quickly attach to a Roloc TR disc pad (sold separately) so that operators can conveniently change discs with a simple twist-off, twist-on motion. The Roloc TR system provides a secure attachment, and the variety of available 3M Roloc discs allows swapping from one application to the next in seconds. Each TR attachment button is also color-coded, making it easy to identify the grade required for different applications.
