The 3B Scientific T21009 monocotyledonous plant model is used to study the wheat grass (Triticum aestivum), a member of the Gamineae family. The T21009 is enlarged 15X life size for display, and dissembles into five parts to provide effective demonstration. The model has individual ears that separate to provide a detailed view of the immature stamen and pistil. The T21009 is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic, which is corrosion resistant, lightweight, and has high strength. PVC resists reactions with acids, gasoline, alcohol, and hydrocarbons. Natural sciences models are typically used as educational aids in medical and scientific classrooms and office settings.
